Semi-Productive Weekend

I did not get to sew or paint this weekend but that does not mean I did not get to work on the Fitton Satchel product line. On Saturday I was able to get the yard work done and then head to a couple of guitar shops to find a couple of straps. I got a Black one and a White one, these will head out with the all black or gray satchels. Then on Sunday I was able to head to Joann's to pick up some fabric paint so that I can hand paint my logo. I got Red, White and Blue, patriotic color purchase was unintentional. Either way, I will have these bags painted up and ready to be sold shortly, super excited to have them done and then I will start on a couple more.

Here are the three that I will be painting most likely tonight

On Friday we went to Hobby Lobby again and found a model to sport my satchel. :)

Good Times,

My Product Line

I continuously go back and forth on what I should make and where my focus should be. I have decided that I will make three different kinds of satchels.

One will be the traditional daily-carry which will fit the iPad or just your normal daily needs.

The second satchel will be a "notebook satchel" made specifically for Apple notebooks. This one will be made with multiple compartments.

The third will be a tote style bag made for women who just love the over sized bag that holds all that's important.

Well that's enough for now.

Good night.

Items purchased

Over the last few months I have been using a piece of filing folder as my stencil. However it came time for me to get a much needed legit stencil for my logo. So I got some stencil sheets and an x-acto knife. My plan is to cut out my logo in different sizes so that each satchel and/or tote has one of the right size for me to hand paint on.

Also today I was able to find a good deal on some straps for two of the five satchels I have. One is white and the other is black. I am still on the market for a Navy Blue one as well as a Red one. I think I may have to turn to a vendor.

Good day,
Jesse

Idea for a tote

Last night we were at Hobby Lobby (one of the best stores on the planet). I saw a girl carrying a tote that was over sized and it got the ball rolling. Fitton Apparel will be putting together a line of product specifically geared to women. They are going to be a canvas leather combo. I am pretty excited about the idea. Keep an eye out and let me know if you would like one for yourself.

Good Day,
Jesse

Thursday

Thursdays are typically strange days for me because it is not the end of the week but it sure feels like it. Tonight I however won't get a chance to work on any satchels because of a board meeting. Friday night though will be a success on the satchel front.

On a side note you should check out my wife's Etsy site she is making bows, it is called Cadence Clips.
visit it at
www.etsy.com/shop/cadenceclips

She is coming out with a ton and if you know any body looking for some 4th of July clips for their little girl I highly recommend hers. She has bows for all occasions.

Before this week ends...

It is my plan to have five satchels done before this week is done. The next order of business to complete these five is hand painting the logo and finding the strap that best fits the colors of the bag. This is going to be a great end to the week once I am able to list these on my Etsy site (link is on your left). And over the next few months I will have complete collections of handmade satchels. Please keep an eye out for them as you will want to pick one up for you or your special someone.

Special orders can be made as well.

Good Day.

Three New Bags

Today, I will finish three bags making my inventory of five ready to be sold. I will be painting the logos and looking for just the right guitar straps for each bag. Three of the five bags are purposed specifically for an iPad, they are light-weight stylish single pocket bags, designed for comfort and ease of use. Take a look, you can email me any questions regarding a pre-made satchel or a made to order satchel.

The picture shown are of a couple bags I have already made.

The red bag is a burlap with a quilted plaid interior.

iPad Day-To-Day Satchel: Sells for $30.00
The gray is a canvas with a plaid quilted interior.

Fitton Satchels

For many years I have thought about having my own line of clothing and accessories. It wasn't until recently that I decided to start my own line of satchels. This line of iPad, Macbook and your normal    daily-carry bag will certainly impress you with the unique idea of utilizing a normal denim button and a guitar strap. Now your typical guitar strap does not just have to hold just your guitar it can hold all your daily needs until your next gig.
